    Request for Remote Appearance

    San Benito Superior Court is pleased to offer remote appearances by video.

    Civil

    All San Benito Superior Court hearings are held in person.  Parties may request to appear remotely on any civil matter but must submit a Notice of Remote Appearance Form (RA-010) and file it with the court, in accordance with Code of Civil Procedure 367.75.

    San Benito Superior Court reviews requests to appear remotely on a hearing by hearing basis ONLY.  Any requests for remote appearance throughout the entirety of a case will be rejected. Parties wishing to appear remotely throughout the entirety of their case are required to submit a new Notice of Remote Appearance Form for each hearing date.

    All parties requesting to appear remotely are required to submit their request on the mandatory Judicial Council forms.  Both the Notice of Remote Appearance (RA-010) and Order of Notice of Remote Appearance (RA-020) are required.

    Criminal

    All San Benito Superior Court hearings are held in person. Attorneys may request to appear remotely on criminal matters but must submit a Request for Remote Appearance: Criminal local form (SB-CR-12) and file it with the court, in accordance with Local Rule 14.3. Approval is granted on a limited basis.
