2025-2026 San Benito County Civil Grand Jury Releases Final Report

HOLLISTER, CA –The Superior Court of California, County of San Benito, is pleased to announce the public release of the Civil Grand Jury’s Final Report for Fiscal Year 2025–2026. The Civil Grand Jury serves as an independent investigatory body empowered to review the operations of local government agencies, evaluate citizen concerns, and promote transparency and accountability across public institutions.

This year’s report reflects months of dedicated service by community members who volunteered their time to examine key issues affecting San Benito County. The investigations undertaken during the 2025–2026 term high-lights concern over the Hollister Bike Rally, the operations within the county jail, and transparency within Sunnyslope County Water District.

The Court extends its sincere appreciation to the grand jurors for their commitment to public service and for the thoughtful, comprehensive analysis contained in the Final Report. Their work represents an important contribution to good governance and an informed community.
The Final Report is now available to the public and can be accessed through the Court’s website at www.sanbenito.courts.ca.gov. Members of the community, local agencies, and interested stakeholders are encouraged to review the findings and recommendations.
